What the Integration Does
BOSS App helps merchants connect their WhatsApp Business accounts to manage customer conversations, send approved notifications, and automate customer support workflows. The integration helps businesses improve customer engagement while keeping customer data secure.
Benefits for Merchants
WhatsApp is where customers in Tanzania already are. Connecting it to the same system that holds your sales and stock removes the copying, the forgotten follow-ups and the missed orders.
- One inbox for the business — customer conversations sit next to the sale, the order and the debt they belong to, so any authorised staff member can pick up where a colleague left off.
- Approved notifications, sent automatically — order confirmations, delivery updates, payment receipts and installment reminders go out on time without anyone remembering to send them.
- Faster customer support — quick replies and routing get common questions answered in seconds instead of hours.
- Fewer mistakes — the message uses the real record from BOSS, so the amount, the item and the balance are the ones actually in the books.
- A record that survives staff changes — the conversation history belongs to the business, not to one person's phone.
- Reach without extra apps — customers reply on the WhatsApp they already use; the merchant works inside BOSS.
How Merchants Use the Feature
- Connect — the merchant links their own WhatsApp Business account to BOSS App through Meta's official onboarding flow and grants only the permissions needed to send and receive messages.
- Choose what is automated — the merchant selects which events send a message: a new order, a completed sale, a delivery update, a payment reminder.
- Use approved templates — notification templates are submitted to Meta for approval before they can be used, and are sent only to customers who have consented to be contacted.
- Handle the reply — when a customer answers, the conversation opens in BOSS App and staff reply within the standard customer service window.
- Stay in control — the merchant can pause automation, edit templates, or disconnect the WhatsApp Business account at any time from within the app.
Data Privacy Statement
BOSS App uses WhatsApp Business Platform APIs to allow merchants to connect their WhatsApp Business accounts, manage customer conversations, send approved notifications, and automate customer communication. We only process data required to provide requested services and we do not sell or share user data with third parties.
- We process only the data required to deliver the messaging a merchant has asked for: phone numbers, message content, template status and delivery results.
- Message data is encrypted in transit, stored in access-controlled infrastructure, and readable only by the merchant account it belongs to.
- We do not sell customer data, and we do not use message content for advertising or profiling.
- Merchants own their customer data and can export or delete it on request.
- Deletion requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy and on the Delete Account page.
Compliance
Boss App operates as a Tech Provider on the WhatsApp Business Platform. Merchants remain the sender of record for their own messages and must follow the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service and the Meta Platform Terms. Our own obligations to merchants are set out in the Terms of Service.
